Gorenje responded to the invitation to take part in a slovenian humanitarian TV show called Catch the Dream produced by TV Pika. Kočevje-based humanitarian organization Marjetica which helps many socially deprived families in their region was donated a washing machine to facilitate their daily work.

This time, the built-in oven of the trendy Gorenje Ora-Ïto designer collection won the prestigious international Plus X Award 2008 in the category of design. The jury was convinced by its elegant appearance featuring black glass combined with a handle made of brushed aluminum, technically perfected interior, and electronic controls that pave the way for optimum cooking results.

The company Home Products Europe B.V., Heemskerklaan 79, 6881 EN, Velp, the Netherlands, informed us on 30 June 2008, that as on 26 June 2008 they acquired 1,070,000 shares issued by the company Gorenje, d.d., which, represents 7.6265 per cent of all voting rights in the company Gorenje, d.d.. Before this acquisition, this company held no shares of the issuer Gorenje, d.d., with the symbol GRVG.

In accordance with the Shares Sale-Purchase Agreement, regarding the acquisition of a 100 percent ownership stake in the company ATAG Europe B.V, the Netherlands, which was concluded on 10 June 2008 with the company Home Products Europe B.V., has the company Gorenje, d.d., on 26 June 2008 paid the part of the purchase price by own shares.

To generate new and fresh ideas for the design of pipe and wire radiators, Gorenje Tiki teamed up with the students of the Ljubljana Academy of Visual Arts and Design. The cooperation resulted in 28 innovative solutions that are now to be studied at Gorenje Tiki in order to implement those most feasible in regular production.
